A personal finance app for iPhone, in plain terms.

Vaulta puts the questions you ask about money in one place: what can I spend, where did it go, what am I worth and where am I heading.

Free plan with no time limit. Pro is free for 7 days. Screens show sample data.

One app, five questions

Most people do not want to manage money. They want answers. The questions come up again and again:

  • What can I spend today?
  • Where did the money go this month?
  • Am I on track for what I am saving toward?
  • What am I worth compared with a few months ago?
  • Is anything coming that I should prepare for?

Vaulta is organised around those questions. Each has a screen, and each screen is built from the same records, so the answers agree with each other.

What is in the app

Safe to spend shows the number for today, with the working underneath. Budgets give each category a monthly amount and show what is left. Goals have a target and a date. Bills and subscriptions list every recurring cost, with a radar on Pro and Premium. Net worth tracks one figure over time. Reports cover income, spending and net saved, plus a Year in review. The forecast projects your balance, and tax and retirement tools sit with it on Pro and Premium.

Pro and Premium also include an AI advisor and receipt reading, both powered by Google Gemini. The advisor works from a summary of your finances, and it never receives account numbers, institution names, your name or your email. Pro has 200 advisor messages a month and Premium 500.

Made for the phone in your pocket

Widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen show the safe-to-spend figure. A Live Activity, Siri shortcuts and Control Center controls make checking it quick. Face ID opens the app, and an optional passcode encrypts your data with AES-256-GCM. Be aware that if you forget the passcode, Vaulta cannot recover the data; restore from a backup instead.

Plans, plainly

Free has no time limit: unlimited manual accounts and transactions, 3 budgets, 1 goal, reports, CSV import, backups, undo, the Year in review, IOUs and bill splitting. Pro is $8 a month or $82.99 a year with a 7-day free trial. Premium is $20 a month or $214.99 a year. See pricing or compare the plans side by side.

What it is honest about

Vaulta is not on the App Store yet; it is coming. Market data is simulated. There are no brokerage, crypto or UPI connections, and it cannot move money. Bank linking, which is optional and read-only, exists in only eight countries. Everything else is manual, and manual works.

Where to start

If you are new to all this, read how to make a budget step by step, then try the free tools, which run in your browser and store nothing. When the app is out, bring the numbers across.

For a closer look at one area, see the guides to budgeting, expense tracking and net worth tracking.

What to expect from the first version

Vaulta 1.0 focuses on the daily number, budgets, goals, bills, reports, net worth and the forecast, with an AI advisor and receipt reading on the paid plans. It is deliberately not a trading app, a payments app or a bank. If you want something that watches your day to day money and explains it, that is the target. If you want something that moves money, it is not.
