Free, Pro or Premium?

Every line of the three Vaulta plans, and a plain guide to which one fits how you use money.

The short version

Free is the whole manual toolkit with a few limits. Pro adds the things that cost money to run: the AI advisor, receipt reading and optional bank linking, plus unlimited budgets and goals and the forecast. Premium raises the limits, adds more linked accounts, business expense tagging and priority support.

Nothing here is a ranking. A plan is right if you would use what it adds. Most people who only want to track spending and watch one number a day are comfortable on Free.

Who each plan suits

Free suits you if you are happy to enter transactions by hand, you can work with three budgets and one goal, and you want the daily safe-to-spend number, reports, a net worth screen, CSV import and bill splitting. It has no time limit. A student, someone starting to budget for the first time, or anyone who prefers to keep things manual is well served.

Pro suits you if you want unlimited budgets and goals, a forecast of where your balance is heading, the recurring-charge radar, tax and retirement tools, the AI advisor with 200 messages a month, 50 receipt reads and 50 product photo reads a month, or optional read-only bank linking for up to 3 accounts in the eight supported countries. It is the plan to try first, because it comes with seven free days.

Premium suits you if you reach the Pro limits or have a more complicated setup: 500 advisor messages, 150 receipt and 150 product reads a month, up to 8 linked accounts, business expense tagging for work costs paid personally, and priority support.

What no plan includes

No plan connects to brokerages, crypto exchanges or UPI. Market data in Vaulta is simulated and labelled that way. No plan can move your money. Bank linking is available only in Germany, Spain, Singapore, Australia, India, the UAE, Mexico and Brazil. Vaulta gives information, not financial advice.

How to choose without overthinking

Start on Free. If you hit the three-budget or one-goal limit and want more, or you want the forecast or receipt scanning, try Pro for the seven days. If the Pro limits are enough, stay there. Go to Premium only if you regularly hit a monthly limit or you need business tagging or more linked accounts. You can read the pricing page for the trial and cancellation rules, or the Journal for budgeting ideas that work on any plan.

Questions about the plans.

Can I start on Free and upgrade later?

Yes. The Free plan has no time limit. Your data stays on your device, so moving to Pro or Premium later does not mean starting again.

What happens if I cancel Pro or Premium?

Your data stays on your device. You go back to the Free limits of 3 budgets and 1 goal, and the AI advisor, receipt reading and bank linking stop. Manual tracking carries on.

Is the 7-day trial on Premium too?

No. The 7-day free trial is for new Pro subscribers. Premium has no trial.

Why do the paid plans have monthly limits?

The AI advisor, receipt reading and bank linking cost money every time they are used, so they come with monthly limits. Limits reset each month.

Is yearly cheaper?

Pro is $96 over twelve months, or $82.99 a year, about 14% less. Premium is $240 over twelve months, or $214.99 a year, about 10% less.

When can I subscribe?

Vaulta is coming to the App Store. Subscriptions are bought through the App Store once it is out. Prices are in US dollars and the App Store shows your local price.
